Pat and Howard qualified as Yoga teachers, obtaining the Diploma of the British Wheel of Yoga in 1992 and 1994 respectively. After studying for four years with Paul Harvey, the founder of  The Association for Yoga Studies (formerly Viniyoga Britain),they were licensed as aYs Practitioners in 1998.  After studying with TKV Desikachar both in the UK and at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, South India,  they graduated as Yoga Teachers affiliated to the Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Foundation in 2006. They pay regular visits to the KYM in Chennai to work with their mentors, Padmini Narendran and Radha Sundararajan respectively

 



has been practising Yoga since 1974 and teaching since 1986 in a variety of situations - private evening classes, in an office situation, classes for the local College and on an individual one-to-one basis. She has taught yoga as part of the GP “Exercise for Health” project and she has also worked at a local Psychiatric Hospital using Yoga as a therapy with a small mixed group of patients who were referred for therapeutic help. She now teaches a small group from home but concentrates mainly on individual tuition for students requiring therapy or serious study

Pat Crosthwaite




Howard Crosthwaite

has been practising yoga since 1986 and teaching since 1990 in different situations – private evening classes, in an office situation and in a local prison. He has a particular interest in the use of sound and he is a faculty member of Vedavalli, the UK Centre for the Art of Vedic Chanting. He has studied chanting at Vedavani, the Vedic Chanting department of the KYM in Chennai and is a student of Radha Sundararajan, the department’s Director. Howard teaches monthly chant groups and individuals, as well as annual Vedavalli Foundation Courses and Retreats.
