The Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Foundation (KHYF) was founded by TKV Desikachar and his student and son, Kausthub Desikachar in January 2006 and is an organisation committed to spreading the holistic yoga teachings of their father and grandfather, Sri T.Krishnmacharya. The KHYF is an umbrella organisation that links all certified teachers and students worldwide who study and teach in the holistic tradition of T Krishnamacharya. |

The Foundation aims to develop a common curriculum of the highest standards forming the basis of all its educational and training programmes and promote and support a highly skilled and interactive network of certified teachers and therapists committed to sharing Yoga with the public as an alternate healing methodology.
As part of the KHYF programme, each student follows an intensive and thorough course of study, maintains a relationship with a mentor, applies for a periodic renewal of certification and makes a solid commitment to continuing education. |

The KHYF programme is the only Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist Training Programme of its kind in the world and is even more unique because it is supported by the educational and research resources of the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram – the only therapy centre of its kind. Pat and Howard are both graduates of the KHYF and regularly visit the KYM to work with their mentors, Padmini Narendran and Radha Sundararajan. |
